A good graham cracker crust is a great thing to keep in your recipe box. Who needs boxed graham cracker crusts when they are so easy to make? Avoid extra ingredients and make the good stuff – it’ll just take a few minutes!
What you need:
- 1 sleeve store-bought graham crackers or 1 1/2 c. crumbs (between 8-12 homemade crackers)
- 4 T. unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/8 t. salt
- food processor
Time: 5 minutes prep; 10 minutes baking
Serves: Makes enough for 1 9-inch pie plate or springform pan (or 4 mini springform pans)
Multiplying the recipe: Yes, you can multiply this recipe, but be careful when dividing it up so that the crusts are even!
Graham Cracker Crust:
Preheat oven to 350F. Pulse graham crackers in the food processor. Add remaining ingredients and pulse until fully incorporated.
Press into pie plate or springform pan, smoothing the surface with the back of a spoon. You can have the crust go up the edge of the pan 1 inch, or have a very slightly thicker crust that is flat across the bottom.
Bake crust for 10 minutes. Fill with cheesecake, ice cream cake, or whatever pie is pleasing!
