Weekly Meal Plan #91

Who wants to spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and baking when it’s so hot, and there are so many things to do with the family in these waning days of summer? Well, not me. We ate pretty well this week, but to be honest, everything was fast. Anything that took longer or required much advance prep…well, it just didn’t happen. So this week I’m especially grateful for my freezer, my slow cooker, my bread machine – and speedy recipes.

Katie’s plan:

  • Pita bread pizzas, green beans from my garden, blueberry lemonade
  • Pecan chicken tenders over salad greens with peach-mustard dressing, blueberries, dried cranberries, sliced apples, and blue cheese
  • Sesame noodles with peas, salad greens with sliced strawberries, almonds, blue cheese, and peach-mustard dressing
  • Chipotle turkey sandwiches, potato chips, blueberries
  • Onion, bacon, and cheese tart, country white boule, salad with fixings, bacon, blueberries and strawberries
  • Mexican chicken soup with zucchini, country white boule, blueberries, sliced cheese
  • Beef au jus sandwiches on homemade sub buns, tortilla chips and salsa, cantaloupe
  • Other things to make this week: calzones, pita bread, instant oatmeal packets, blueberry crumble pie, cinnamon sugar pie scrap roll-ups, homemade Gatorade, strawberry shortcake ice cream bars, pan release GOOP, pullman sandwich bread, English muffin toasting bread, English muffins, cinnamon rolls, cinnamon roll bread
