Weekly Meal Plan #82

Going into this week, I had a plan: I was going to use up things that were taking up storage space. There were lots of events to plan around this week, so I tried to cram as much as I could into as few meals as possible. Pre-planning allowed me to use up things I might otherwise have forgotten about in a busy week. Also, I was very excited to have such a varied menu this week. Sometimes I get stuck in a rut of serving the same meals, and I was getting a bit tired of that!

Katie’s plan:

  • BLTs on honey whole wheat bread, chips and homemade dip, watermelon wedges, corn on the cob
  • Beef stew, Texas toast on pullman sandwich bread, cowboy caviar and tortilla chips, watermelon wedges, strawberries
  • Quiche, steamed carrots, English muffin toasting bread, fruit medley (watermelon, strawberries, and blueberries)
  • Tandoori chicken, baked rice, roasted brussels sprouts, pineapple
  • Dinner with family
  • Dinner with family
  • Graduation party
  • Other things to make this week: cranberry-pecan jumbo muffins, blueberry cheesecake bars, pan release “GOOP,” dark chocolate-cherry scones, pumpkin scones, English muffins, English muffin toasting bread, honey whole wheat bread, Pullman sandwich bread, muddy buddies, cinnamon rolls

Theresa’s plan:

  • French Bread Pizza, mixed vegetables, strawberries
  • Grilled homemade sausage, grilled chicken, watermelon, corn, oven-roasted potato wedges
  • Hot dogs and brats cooked over the fire, leftovers, s’mores
  • Leftovers
  • Tacos with Taco Chicken and seasoned black beans, strawberries, spinach salad with bell peppers and snap peas
  • Sandwiches and Leftovers
  • Other things to make this week: blueberry muffins, chocolate chip muffins, banana nut muffins, cranberry-orange quick bread, buttermilk (2 quarts), yogurt
