Simply put, your freezer and your slow cooker can really save your bacon. Imagine that it’s 7am. You’re getting your family ready to head out the door. You’ve all got a long day of work or school ahead of you. You won’t get home until after 5pm, and dinner has to be on the table practically the second you walk in the door. Evening activities (sports, lessons, meetings) later in the evening shorten your dinner time frame. You’ve got no plan. What do you do?
Well, as I see it most people would do one of two things: either grab some takeout on the way home, or throw something in the slow cooker. Are you thinking, but I don’t have time to chop veggies and open cans and measure spices? Here’s the answer to that problem: slow cooker meals that you prep ahead of time, put in gallon-sized freezer bags, and freeze until needed. Simply dump the ingredients into the slow cooker insert, set it, and forget about dinner…until you walk in after work, starving, to the delicious smell of a dinner you didn’t spend all evening making!
